Over the past thirty years, leadership under both Democrats and Republicans have presided over the hollowing out of much of America's manufacturing base, increasing dependence on foreign imports, and the accumulation of enormous national debt.

Reports of fraud, waste, and abuse within federal and state programs continue to raise serious questions about oversight and accountability. Meanwhile, prolonged foreign military engagements, the influence of politically connected organizations and NGOs, and the enormous financial interests surrounding the military-industrial complex have fueled public concerns about whose interests Washington truly serves.

Our national debt continues to grow, placing an extraordinary financial burden on future generations. Yet meaningful accountability for government failures, financial mismanagement, and abuses of public trust too often appears elusive.

This is not simply a Democratic problem or a Republican problem. It is a question of accountability across both parties and the institutions they oversee.

The American people have the constitutional power to elect representatives who place their responsibilities to the nation above partisan interests.

But what happens when elections alone fail to produce meaningful reform?

"One Constitutional Option" worthy of serious public discussion is a Convention of States, authorized under Article V of the United States Constitution. Through this process, applications from two-thirds of state legislatures can require Congress to call a convention for proposing constitutional amendments, without Congress itself proposing those amendments. Any proposed amendment would still require ratification by three-fourths of the states. Hopefully this option does not become the only one left for Citizens to pursue.

The central question is no longer which political party deserves our loyalty, but how the American people can demand integrity, fiscal responsibility, constitutional government, and meaningful accountability from those entrusted with public office.

America's future deserves a serious national conversation about restoring public trust and ensuring that government remains accountable to the people it serves.
